Identity

This installation was created in memory of the Ukrainian opera singer Solomia Krushelnytska. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of her birth. She was Madam Butterfly the world was catching but never caught.
"Notes are silent signs on paper that do not yet say anything about their enormous artistic power. And you have to put in a lot of effort, work, and time so that the work comes to life under the finger of a pianist, under the bow of a violinist or in the voice of a singer and really excites the listener.''
Now this installation in private collection of Curtis Howard.
Ця інстоляція була створена на згадку української оперної співачки Соломії Крушельницької. З нагоди 150 років з дня її народження. Вона була голосом, який світ ловив, але так і не впіймав.
''Ноти – це мовчазні знаки на папері, які ще нічого не говорять про свою величезну художню силу. І треба дуже багато докласти зусиль, праці, часу, щоб твір ожив під пальця: піаніста, під смичком скрипаля або в голосі співака і посправжньому схвилював слухача.''
