„EZEQUIEL GARCIA-ROMEU and puppeteers of the 1970s-1980s”

Opus II performance by Ezequiel García-Romeu - director, puppeteer, scenographer. I saw this performance for the first time in Ukraine in Kharkiv, at the Parad Fest - festival in 2021 I was incredibly impressed by the work with space, sounds, puppets and visual images. It was an incredible discovery for me how material, puppet and space can be autonomous, the actor seems to dissolve in the audience and we no longer understand who is telling this story, or if it is telling itself. Sometimes we meet some people and it somehow change the direction of our live. This meeting two years ago did not let me forget itself, that is why I decided to write my master's degree progect about the work of Ezequiel Garsia-Romeu, to come to the Institute de la Marionnette, for researching and learning more about French puppet theater of the 1970s and 1980s. More and more often, I am convinced of how many beautiful performances and artists there are in France, in Ukraine, and outside the borders of their countries, a rather small number of people know about them. So I will bring a piece of French theater home to Ukraine, and I also plan to translate my work into Polish and English as well.
